I've been going to Pembroke Ontario, to their fiddle contest since 1992 as a judge and entertainer. The day after the contest is over each year, it is tradition for me to go the Groupe Leduc Tent at Fiddle Park and have a great jam session with some real good buddies at about 7:30 PM (EDT) on the Sunday. There's always a great crowd to stand around a watch and this has become a very special spot for myself and many others. It's a ton of fun as I have fiddlers come up and join me to play whatever they want. There's usually a laugh or 2 as well. With the pandemic that surfaced in 2020, the Pembroke contest as been on hold for 2 years now. The contest always happens on Labor Day Weekend and here we are on Labor Day Weekend and it's the 2nd year we are missing Pembroke. Germain Leduc, a wonderful fiddler & pianist shot the video of this session at the Duheme tent in 2014 so I thought I would replay this session for all those that have been to the Groupe Leduc Tent as a trip down memory lane and for those of you that have never had the chance to go to Fiddle Park in Pembroke, I hope you enjoy.. I'm posting this video on Sunday evening of Labor Day Weekend 2021, as I miss the Groupe leduc and all the wonderful fiddle fans there that love to have a good time.
