Bengaluru's Favourite Rameshwaram Cafe | How It Started | IIM Grad's Journey

#thebetterindia #rameshwaramcafe #iim #bengaluru #bangalore This IIM grad built a restaurant chain that earns crores every month! Meet Divya Rao, the founder of Bengaluru's popular Rameshwaram Cafe. After becoming a CA at 21, Divya went to IIM Ahmedabad to pursue a course in finance & management. Studying the case studies of McDonald’s, KFC, & Starbucks made Divya want to build a world-class food chain, and take South Indian food to the entire globe. Partnering with food industry expert Raghav Rao, she opened Rameshwaram Cafe. Ask her why she chose this name, she says, “We’ve dedicated this venture to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. His birthplace is Rameshwaram, so we named it Rameshwaram.” Divya's family were aghast, as they didn’t want her to struggle for finances when she could have a secure job. But she and Raghav persevered, working hard to make their food stand out from the crowd. Their plan worked. Made with the freshest of ingredients Rameshwaram Cafe’s authentic dishes and lip-smacking chutneys became a super hit. In fact, their ghee-soaked podi idlis went viral, inspiring many memes and reels! Now running 5 outlets, including one in Dubai, Divya and Raghav have transitioned from being business partners to life partners. Their next target? Taking Rameshwaram Cafe to Singapore and many more foreign countries. Loved their culinary adventure? Like, Follow, Share for more such amazing stories!
