Train Cab Ride NL / Deventer - Amersfoort - Schiphol - Hoofddorp Opstel / ICM Intercity / Feb 2019

Cab ride on the intercity service from Deventer to Schiphol Airport via Apeldoorn and Amersfoort. Also we'll make an extra stopover in Amsterdam RAI because of the "huishoudbeurs" event. Our video starts around 14.00h and we're almost ready for departure in Deventer. As you can hear the dead man's switch asks for conformation from the driver. I don't respond because I want to test if all systems work properly. We just combined two trains with each other and after that all braking systems must be tested all over again before the train is allowed for departure. When the dead man's switch is activated the train hits the brakes to the max. At the same time you can hear the train manager closing the doors for departure. This is why I let him know we won't depart immediately because the braking system is still filling itself with air. On our departure we have a small 1 minute delay. We keep the train in full speed as long as possible. Normally you can let the train run without any power on the engines for a few kilometers, but now we don't. That's why we arrive perfectly on time in Apeldoorn. After this we have a very chill ride. You'll notice that we will depart 1 minute late from Amersfoort as well. This is because we have waited for the transfers from the other train on the other side of the platform. After this we do the same as we did after Deventer. Full speed ahead and were right in time again in Hilversum. Between Hilversum Mediapark and Bussum-Zuid I thought there was something wrong with the power-lines (just a small issue). This is why I make a call with the signal man to report. After watching back the video there wasn't anything wrong. But better safe than sorry! What I meant is a loose line in the power lines. You can also see this just before the Bridge after Weesp. There's also a line hanging loose (no danger). I already reported that one earlier this week, so that's why I don't make another call. Last but not least you'll notice the seconds for the stops will not appear anymore after Hilversum. This is because of the extra stop in RAI. The stops in Duivendrecht and Zuid have been shortened so we can make a stop in RAI as well. But for the seconds in the schedule there not enough time. The driver needs to really take the train to its maximum speed to make all the stops on time. I hope you enjoyed the video.
