-History: The Fridericus Rex Grenadiermarsch is a Prussian patriotic song that first appeared in the early 1800s, however the melody of the song goes back way further than that. The song is about "Fridericus Rex" who was the ruler of Prussia back in the 1700s. Friderich is seen as a national hero. Under his rule, Prussia became a major player on the European continent by professionalising the Prussian army and conquering areas like silesia. The song mentions many other nations from the time like France and king Louie, Austria, Sweden and Russia. The song describes the perfection of the Prussian military and their loyalty to Prussia and Frederich. -The record: This record is very rare! Usually I put information about the record in the discription like the singer, author and record lable, but I cannot. The record has nothing on it other than the "his masters voice" lable name and the song name "Fridericus Rex", written on it with a red sharpy. This implicates that most likely this song was recorded because someone commissioned it to be made. -You can support me on patreon if you wish: / posts Be sure to check this guy out aswell since he recorded the song and allowed me to make a video of it: / @duckcalculator The maps were made by the following channel and allowed me to use them: / @greatlakessongs #history #germany --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Do you like history?
