Clear Coat - Varathane water based polyurethane If I get a satin clear coat then I go with a flat paint and I like that combo, or if I get a matte clear coat than I use a satin paint finish. Basically go for one satin and one flat/matte to get the matte finish look. I couldn’t find a good price for matte polyurethane in quart size on Amazon so I linked satin, I use satin a lot too I just go with a flat paint when I use satin clear coat in the recipe and get the same finish vice versa. The calcium carbonate gives a more flat finish to the whole thing as well so even with satin poly you’ll get a perfect matte finish this way.
