Don’t get too high with the highs or too low with the lows… 🤔 Advice we hear often… yes? Marcel Siem’s win in India on the DP World Tour yesterday was a return to his best and a shining light for his work in a return to ‘self’.. in his own words he had lost him ‘self’ on a search for something that he had all along.. ‘After a successful run in 2012,13,14 I went in a different direction.. new mental coaches, new technique coaches, new swing coaches.. which was complete nonsense and the biggest mistake of my life..’ Having experienced personally and now had many conversations with golfers and professional athletes who have completely lost themselves pursing potential underpinned in a lack trust and receiving advice and guided in a direction that takes them further away from their instincts and authenticity.. ‘Most mental coaches don’t really allow players to be themselves..’ Now, I’m not saying that smoking, alcohol or anything here hold the answers but to be able to answer this below question with some truth & knowing.. now that does hold some answers … Who am I and what do I really believe? The journey, I deeply believe.. has to be a journey into or back to our deepest feelings a journey into who we are at the core.... no quick fixes here.. and not for everyone.. no 30 day program’s or 8 step process is creating this if we want to truly aim to unlock what potential lies within.
