It's time to talk about an uncomfortable topic for us Monarch Butterfly caretakers: The OE Parasite. (Please forgive that I call it "OE Bacteria" throughout this video! Major blunder, as it is NOT a bacteria!) This video is one of two that detail what the OE parasite is, how prevalent it is in North America, and especially useful, how to test Monarchs you raise for the spores that indicate infection.
