Passage planning & Sailing the UK from the Solent to weymouth (via Poole) #11 A trip out to Weymouth with a stop over in Poole, we try to share a little more detail on our passage planning, we're happy to go into more details if you find it interesting but this episode basically covers our journey west to weymouth. We stopped over in Poole for the night, this was basically because we had already driven to the boat and it was already 10am when we left the dock! that and having a stinky little dog aboard who would need feeding and going to the toilet in the evening along with two kids we opted for Poole so we could spend the evening ashore - little did we know there was an airshow on and there was no room anywhere! had we known this we would have probably stopped over in studland bay and gone ashore in the dinghy with the dog... but hindsight ay!
