Well my home city of Perth is on a 4 day lockdown and I cant fly to work. So I thought I'd jump into rebuilding my spare air suspension compressor for my Land Rover Discovery 3. This is the earlier Hitachi model as I haven't changed over to the AMK. This one had excessive wear to the piston glide ring that eventually wore the barrel (cylinder) out. When it originally failed I ordered a basic rebuild kit but only discovered the wear when stripping it down the first time and at that point I ordered a complete new compressor. I'm getting to the point where I should be doing a desiccant changeout on the current compressor but figured I would have this one ready to go and just do a swap out. I can then get the next one ready for a swap out in the future.
