Sectatone Sound from Bath, UK - with Mikey Dread on Channel Four TV's 'Rockers Roadshow' - at the Melting Pot Club, Bath, UK - 1983.... Some wicked early 1980's footage taken from the TV series hosted by Mikey Dread (RIP) which was the first UK TV series to promote Britain's Black music. The ten-part series went to small clubs in cities across the UK and mainly featured local Black talent. This particular episode from Bath was the only one of the series to film footage of a local sound system. Sectatone was a local Bath sound system that were around from the 1970s and were a Blues / party sound. The sound was founded by the three brothers : Mark - AKA 'Tramp' (RIP) - (Seen wearing the Red hat - selector & MC), Geoffrey (seen wearing the Brown hat - engineer) and Micheal - together with other sound crew members such as Tousaint + others... The three brothers originally started Bath's only Steel band - called the 'Rainbow Steel Band' (who still play today) before starting Sectatone Sound System. Sectatone still occasionally play today - with the younger generation having joined the sound...
