Dangote Refinery's Petrol Export Plans: NNPC Declines Sole-Buyer Role

The Dangote Refinery might turn to exporting its petrol after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) decided against being the exclusive buyer. According to a recent NNPC press release, the corporation will only purchase Dangote's fuel if it is priced lower than the global market rate. The NNPC also clarified it would not serve as a distributor in a free market setting. This shift opens up opportunities for Dangote and other local refineries to sell directly to any interested buyers.
