In 1974, Dr Paddy Griffith organised a large mega game at Sandhurst and the Staff College to study whether the never launched Operation Sealion by Germany in 1940 could have worked. To explore this area of contested history Paddy invited 6 generals, many other senior officers and academics, including those with combat experience from WWII. Players included Adolf Galland Knights Cross with Oakleaves, swords and diamonds, and Air Marshall, Sir Christopher Foxley-Norris, GCB, DSO, OBE.
