In this video I demonstrate a Real Time pilots perspective of what flying in Papua is about. I used a more technical approach in making this video, showing how we deal with Wx and other factors. The challenges Papua mountain flying presents demand adaptability from the pilots in order to get the job done well and safely. The level of experience in such terrain has to be high and even so accidents happen all the time. It's not about "Safety First" but rather "Everything done Safely". This runway is located in the village of Yeretma, located south of Wamena and at the foothills of the Wosak Mountains, West Papua, Indonesia.
