Weathering a Berk: Step by Step Process

This is the weathering video I’ve meant to do for what seems like forever. A couple things to add to what I said in the video… 1. If you’re nervous about weathering, JUST DO IT. Start on something cheap or just dive right in and start on your nice stuff. That’s what I did. It really isn’t that bad if you first research a technique and study prototype photos to emulate. 2. Weathering powders are from Monroe Models. I find these to be the best in color and sticking power. 3. Another big drawback to this technique is the durability. No matter how much clear coat is dumped on it, it will continue to rub off. I combat this by handling my engines fairly minimally and avoiding smoke at all costs. If this a turn off for you, thankfully there’s a lot of other ways to go about it. I find the airbrush to probably be the best in that sense.
