I don't really like Les Pauls all that much (too heavy, too expensive, hard upper fret access, switch gets in the way...) but I figured I'd give this one a shot, since I love my Greco SG and it was cheap enough. And I'm glad I did. This is a Made in Japan replica from 1978. The stock Maxon pickups (U-2000's, as far as I know) and wiring sound great, and pretty balanced for a PAF-style set. They measure 7.77k in the neck and 7.97k in the bridge. The guitar itself is built like a Norlin era LP (pancake body, Nashville style bridge, 3 piece neck...). Here I'm just playing around with the pickups, crunchy at full, clean at around 3 or 4. Tone comes from Neural Amp Modeler, a Plexi profile on the left channel and a Deluxe Reverb on the right.
