DIY JetSki Fishing Esky… don’t buy one, make one!!!

The boys have been begging to go fishing on the JetSki since we bought it but we had nothing to carry rods or store all the fish we will catch. Used JetSki esky’s range from $500 to $1000 and we’re just not that good at fishing to warrant that kind of a spend😝😂 So we (Zye & I) decided to make our own! We bought all the bits and pieces from BCF, Road Tech Marine and Bunnings. It took us the better part of the day to get it done and tested, but Zye and I had a great time figuring it all out. Yes it’s a little rough (Eg- bolts on the inside of the esky), but it will do the job perfectly and we spent about half the money it would cost to buy one. Materials and cost breakdown below. Can’t wait to try it out… stay tuned!!! Cheers, Robo BCF: - Esky Wanderer 47L $170 - Rod Holders x 4 $32 ($8ea) - Eyelet brackets x 5 $30 ($6ea) Bunnings: - Mini bungue straps $5 - Bolts (4 pack, M5 50mm) x 6 $27 (~$4.50ea) - Washers & lock/spring washers- $8 Road Tech Marine: - Turnbuckles x 2 $36 ($18ea) - D-shackles x 4 $8 ($2ea) - Straps (already had them) Total cost= Appox $316 Okay, materials were a little bit more expensive then I thought they would be, but still a much cheaper option compared to what is available (even on the used market).
