Solo cross country to Aberporth

Finally my solo cross country got underway and have now completed everything ready for my general skills test which im hoping to get done soon. Enjoyed this flight, found it vert tricky to pick out the airfield though due to some low level scattered cloud and haze. Flight: 24 Jan 2015 Was supposed to fly my final solo cross country to Aberporth this weekend but unfortunately it seemed the airport was closed so it had to be cancelled ( Ive lost count how many times its been cancelled now!) So instead I decided to get some crosswind practice in and flew in the circuit for 90 mins or so. Some of my landings were pretty sketchy to say the least! Not correcting with enough deflected aileron into wind on touch touch down and letting the stick rest when rolling out rather than holding it into wind but as the afternoon went on I started to piece it together a bit better. Anyway im just gonna keep working at things and hopefully bit by bit im improving gradually. You think your getting half decent and then get in the cockpit with the instructor and realise how much you have to improve on! Hopefully in a few years i'll have the plane flying on rails! With any luck my next vid will be the cross country this weekend, (very much doubt it though!) **************************************************************************** Music: Outlines (Instrumental), Mike Mago & Dragonette Filmed on two go pro Hd Hero 2 cameras and one HD Hero 3+ black. One offical go pro mount on the cockpit front and a cheap clamp mount from ebay for the rear. Also cheap roll bar mount on the top cross bar in the cockpit The audio is recorded onto a Sony pocket size recorder (ICD-PX312). To feed the audio from my headset I use a splitter cable from transair (Pilot Avionics PA-80). I edit the footage using Sony Vegas 10.0 I also have a polarising filter on the front Go Pro 2 and a Leebug polarising and graduated filter on the Hero 3+ Follow me   / benjaminwalford   Aberporth Airport, West wales airport, solo cross country, gower flight centre, ben walford, NPPL, flight training, Swansea airport, ikarus c42, microlight, gower flying, west wales flying, plane, aeroplane, go pro cockpit, go pro flying, atc audio, landing, takeoff, student pilot, atc, general aviation, share aviation, uk flying
