Kerala Snack Recipe Dal And Rice Flour - Murukku

Rice flour - 1 1/2 cup Urad dal -1 cup Sesame seed - 1or 2 tsp Oil - 1 or 2 tbsp Salt - 1 or 2 tbsp Method Heat a pan, add urad dal, and roast them well. Take the pan off the heat and set it aside.  Take a bowl, add rice flour, and powdered roasted urad dal. Add black sesame seed and mix them well. Add water little by little and knead it into a smooth dough. Keep aside. Take an idiyappam mould with murukku plates in it. Add the dough to it and close it, set aside. Take a banana sheet and press the dough into a circle shape onto the banana leaves. Then repeat the same process for the balance of the dough . Heat oil in a pan. Then they placed the murukku dough pieces one by one into the hot oil.  Deep fry till  they become golden colour and crispy Keep it in an airtight container.  Serve the tasty rice murukku with tea or coffee.
