Born in Lwów, Poland where he was educated in the conservatory in class of violin, in age of 18 Marek Weber traveled to Berlin to continue studies in the famous Stern Conservatory. However he never became a classical music virtuoso, for in age of 20 he founded his own orchestra which became in 1914 a resident dance band at the prestigious Hotel Adlon. Such was his start to becoming one of top dance bands in the Weimer Republic, until Marek Weber’s emigration to the United States in 1933. Billed as the "Radio Waltz King", he became a fixture of the NBC Red Network, with a star billing on the Carnation Condensed Milk program and frequent guest appearances on other shows. After the Second World War he purchased a ranch and retired from show business.
