I noticed on the video the casting off is a little hard to see. Here's a description of what i was doing: To explain was that to cast off for a hat, you continue knitting like you usually would, but instead of putting your needle through one loop at a time, you put it through two. You keep doing this until you have one loop left, and then tie a knot and sew up the seam. This process gradually decreases the width of the hat (you're closing up the top of it).
