we arrived late the saturday afternoon where we metup with oom swannie and his cousin who were there from the friday but unlucky with no fish to report from their side we,we setup camp and got all the rods ready and just before dark all of them were settled,we went to bed quite early because of the cold and no bites to report for the night aswell,so we got up the next morning and after a nice warm cup off coffey i went inside searching for them where i found some fish activity at 11.4m of water about 200m off the banks,so i came out got my righthand rod and placed it perfectly on the spot where i found the fish and did the middle rod on 10m and the left one at 9m and 30mins later the righthander ripped off with a bang,so i hopped into the almost depleted boat fought the fish in the open water where it dragged me left to right and after an intense battle the fish grazed my landing net and to my surprize a proper original mirror carp that took the scales at 9.4kg(20.7lb),i was really pleased with this catch but at the end the only one that fell to the net,next year we will do another session again but it will be in may. special thanks to my wife @jolandi,@janswannepoel,@baitproducts,@mornejacobs from robassadors big ups to all.
