NISSAN

/ @sajalazlanesh   Nissan #Micra IACV Voltage and Resistance Tests Step-by-Step #nissanmicra #iacvalve #k11 #throttlebody Welcome to my DIY tutorial on the Nissan Micra IACV voltage and resistance tests. Today, i’ll guide you through this essential maintenance procedure step-by-step. First, ensure your Micra is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool. Begin by locating the Idle Air Control Valve, or IACV, usually found near the throttle body. Disconnect the electrical connector from the IACV. Next, grab your multimeter. Set it to measure voltage. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position and start the engine. Now, probe the IACV connector terminals. CHECKING THE OUTPUT SIGNAL • Measure the voltage between terminal 111 (valve opening signal) of the ECCS control unit and ground. At rpm x.x.: approx. 12V When you turn on the air conditioner or The power steering, voltage decreases. Measure the voltage between pin 113 (valve closing signal)  ECCS control unit and ground. At rpm x.x.: approx. 8.6V and for CGA3 6v When you turn on the air conditioner or The power steering, voltage increase Measure the voltage between terminal No. 5 of the FICD solenoid (valve- on AAC) and "Ground”. Air conditioning off: approx. O.V. Air conditioner on: voltage battery If the voltage is within the specified range, you're on the right track. If not, you may need to inspect the wiring or replace the IACV. Now, let’s check the resistance. Set your multimeter to measure resistance or ohms. Connect the probes to the IACV terminals. Again, refer to your service manual for the acceptable resistance values. CGA3 EXAMINATION Measure the resistance between contacts No. 2 and No. 3, No. 3 and No. 4 of the AAC valve.  Resistance (at normal temperature): 2 - 3 : approx.1 1 6 -3 1 9 ohm 3 - 4 : approx.1 1 6 -3 1 9ohm FICD SOLENOID Examination And measure the resistance between pins No. 1 and No. 5 of the FICD solenoid.  Resistance (at normal TEMPERATURE): approx. 1 3 6 -3 7 2 ohm CG13 And measure the resistance between contacts No. 2 and No. 3, No. 3 and No. 4 of the AAC valve.  With resistance (at normal temperature): 2 - 3 : approx.5 0 -1 0 0 ohm 3 -4 :  approx.5 0 -1 0 0 ohm CHECKING FICD SOLENOID • And measure the resistance between contacts and No. 1 and No. 5 of the solenoid FICD (AAC valve). Resistance (at normal TEMPERATURE): approx. 9 5 -1 4 5 ohm If not correct, replace the AAC valve. If the resistance is out of range, it’s a sign that your IACV may need to be cleaned or replaced. Remember, regular testing of the IACV can help ensure your Nissan Micra runs smoothly. Thanks for watching!
