Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train through video conference. It is the first Vande Bharat Express to operate in West Bengal and on the Eastern parts of the country. Also, it is the seventh Vande Bharat train by Indian Railways in the country. The superfast train with modern passenger amenities will take around 7.5 hours on its run in both directions, PM Modi inaugurates the Joka-Taratala stretch of the Purple Line of the Kolkata Metro through video conferencing. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is present at the event. Indian Railways is all set to launch the sixth Vande Bharat Express between Bilaspur (Chattisgarh)-Nagpur (Maharashtra) route on 11 December. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the semi-high-speed train of Indian Railways on Sunday. The Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week and will complete one leg of the journey in about five-and-a-half hours. The Bilaspur- Nagpur Vande Bharat train will be inaugurated on Sunday (December 11) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Nagpur. This train will leave Bilaspur at around 6.45 am and reach Nagpur at around 12.15 pm. Similarly, the train will leave Nagpur at 2pm to reach Bilaspur at 7.35 pm. Currently superfast trains take around seven hours to reach Nagpur, however this train will cover the distance in around five-and-a-half hours. Vande Bharat Express, the country's fastest train, is likely to start from Vizag in the next month. The modern high-speed train would likely run on the Vizag-Secunderabad line in the day on the lines of Janma Bhoomi Express. Vande Bharat Express would go from Vizag to Secunderabad in eight hours instead of 12 to 14 hours, unlike the current express trains. According to sources, only one rake would be available for the service. Therefore, the railways would run the train from Vizag to Vijayawada initially and later it would be extended to Secunderabad. The Vande Bharat Express, (वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस) also known as Train 18, is an Indian semi-high-speed, intercity, EMU train which was designed and manufactured by Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Perambur, Chennai under the Indian government's Make in India initiative, over a span of 18 months. The unit cost of the first rake was estimated at ₹100 crore (US$13 million), although it is expected to go down with subsequent production. At the original price, it is estimated to be 40% cheaper than a similar train imported from Europe. The train was launched on 15 February 2019, by which date a second unit will have been produced and readied for service. The service was named 'Vande Bharat Express' on 27 January 2019. As of Aug 2021, the Indian Railways operates two Vande Bharat trains, one from Delhi to Varanasi and the other from Delhi to Katra. In January 2021, Indian Railways awarded the contract for supply of propulsion and control equipment of 44 rakes to Medha Servo Drives, based at Hyderabad. Train No.is 22439 Up (Delhi-Katra) 22440 Dn (Katra-Delhi). Vande Bharat Express is designed to be capable of running at a maximum speed of 200 km/h (120 mph), but the tracks on which the train operates are not capable of supporting such high speeds, hence the train is operated at a maximum speed of 130 km/h (81 mph). During the trials it achieved a record speed of 180 km/h (110 mph). This made it the fastest train to run in India and the second fastest operating train in India, behind the Gatimaan Express which operates at 160 km/h (99 mph). In 2022 Union Budget, the government announced to manufacture 400 more Vande Bharat Express during the next three years. #PapaConstruction #VandeBharatExpress #FastestTrainInIndia #HighSpeedTrain #MadeInIndia #vandebharatexpress #HowrahNewJalpaiguriVandeBharat
