The Neon Sequencer is basically the Intellijel Metropolix hardware sequencer reborn as a $5 iPad app with a glowy interface. I got it a few days ago, and have quickly become obsessed with it. Like its Intellijel (and RYK) ancestors, Neon is somehow both good at quick, intuitive riff-making, and extended, mathy modifications to make long, gloriously generative sequences. Best of all, you can go straight from one to the other, and back again if you please. In this video, I show how this can be done in just a few minutes, using my Moog Matriarch as the sound generator. I think I'm going to be using Neon for a long time,. Drums and Valhalla Vintage Verb were added afterwards in Logic Pro, along with a bit of compression and mastering. Thanks for listening!
