As Scotland entered COVID Phase 3, I took the opportunity to venture outside of my 5-mile radius and paid a visit the gorgeous River Devon in Clackmannanshire. I grew up on the banks of the river and spent my formative years chasing trout there with mixed results! Returning to the river as an adult is always an emotional experience. This particular evening, a caddis hatch brought dozens of picture-perfect brown trout to the surface, eager to take a dry fly. This video is a humble attempt to capture a little of what my perennial 'home water' has to offer the fly angler - dry fly fishing at its best.
