My Favorite "Holy" Tactile - ai03 Vega with Holy Boba Frankenswitch Typing Sounds

Plate: Aluminum Keycaps: GMK Striker R1 with GMK Vaporwave RAMA cap. Switches: Holy Boba Switches (Halo true stem, Outemu Boba Silent RGB (Clear top, milky bottom) with TX 65g 14mm springs. Switches lubed with Krytox 3204 and springs lubed with Krytoxx 105. Stabilizers: Durock Stabilizers V1 lubed with XHT-BDZ lube on the wire and Krytox 205g0 on housing. I then plugged the butt with more 205g0. Mat: Bolsa Supply King of LA Deskmat This is my FAVORITE use of the Halo True stem. I prefer this over Holy Pandas and Moyu Blacks. So I finally desoldered my Vega PCB so that I could install millmax. I had to millmax the solder pcb so that I could actually swap between the solder build and the hotswap build. This is due to the hidden screw design.. the switches collide with the screws. Sucks for the specific use case of someone who wants to use one build as a tester. This is a frankenswitch that I've wanted to do for a while. The outemu housings are known for having tighter tolerances and just sounding so good. Throwing in a Halo True stem makes it a very interesting "holy" switch. The regular panda housing is a little bit higher pitched than this. If you like your tactile switch to clack harder, that would be the go-to choice. How does this compare to the Moyu Black? The Moyu Black (Everglide Dark Jade) is even higher pitched, still. The stem feels like it has an even crazier tactile bump. How does this compare to the Holy Ink? (Halo True Stem, Gateron Ink V2 housing). I don't like that combo at all. The sound is very muted despite it being pretty smooth. I have friends that prefer that over any of these, though. Is there pre-travel? Halo True switches do not have any significant pre-travel. As soon as you actuate, you feel the tactile bump. Do I like these? Yes, I do. They're much easier to use throughout a full day than a Moyu Black. Moyu Blacks get pretty exhausting after a while. I like the SLIGHTLY less loud and deeper sound of these switches. I'm glad I was able to test it on this build. For tactiles, you want to try to put it on a stiff plate like carbon fiber, alu, brass, etc. MAYBE FR4 sometimes. If you throw it on a polycarbonate plate or a pom plate.. it simply does not feel as good, as the tactile response is also dampened. What do you think of this switch? Is it worthy of the Vega?
