These Cops Let Me Chase This "DEAD MAN WALKING" Tornado | Monett/Aurora, MO 5/8/2024

I just acquired my meteorology degree this May and set out to storm chase for a couple weeks. I had been chasing this storm for about an hour on May 8, 2024 before a rear-flank cell merger occurred, quickly inducing tornadogenesis. This EF-1 tornado took on many appearances, including a multi-vortex/dead man walking structure and a cone shape before roping out. I tracked behind this kraken for over 20 minutes. It caused property damage to outbuildings and a mobile home, but fortunately did not harm any one. I was fully prepared to yield to the cops in the middle of the video, who were making sure no one accidentally drove into the ongoing tornado. I knew the tornado was moving away from us and I let them know I was chasing it. I think once they also saw my camera gear that they knew I was a storm chaser and let me proceed.
