A TPMS system is required to alert the driver of a low tire pressure event when the tire pressure is 25-percent under-inflated. You need to inform the TPMS subsystem when the tires/wheels are rotated so it knows where it should find each of the TPMS sensor ids. I perform an extra step of reconfiguring TPMS subsystem in my 2014 Chevy Caprice PPV with updated cold tire pressure inflation values and tire types.
