Process of obtaining your FCC GMRS (General Mobil Radio Service) license. Good for 10 years. FCC GMRS (General Mobil Radio Service) license ! If you already have an FRN skip to Step 15 ! You only need to apply for one license per household. All family members living at the same address are covered under the one call-sign/license. ! Please understand that the FCC government site is over 25 years old and very few changes/upgrades have been applied. It is a very slow site, you will need to time to complete this process! Please Follow the Steps below: Step 1: Click Link (Ctrl + Mouse Right Click) – Or – copy and paste the link in a browser https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licMana... Step 2: If this is your first time dealing will the FCC you will need to register and create a new account to obtain a new FRN (FCC Registration Number) Click Need an FRN? Register with the FCC Need an FRN? Register with the FCC Step 3: Click REGISTER Step 4: Please Follow the steps and Fill out the Form Step 5: Click Create Account Step 6: Once Created it will give you a Confirmation Page, They will also send an email to the address you used to create the account. This is also your username. Step 7: Open your email and click on the email from the FCC the Title should be FCC Registration open the email and follow the instructions for confirming that you used a valid email address. Once done it will open a browser that says Email Address verification and confirm it is completed. You can now close that tab. Step 8: Now we will go back to our original tab and click return to log in You will now log in with your newly created username(email address) and password Step 9: Click the Button Go To Cores Step 10: Click Register New FRN Step 11: Select An individual Yes if your in the US or territories click CONTINUE Step 12: Select Individual FRN Click CONTINUE Step 13: Fill out the Form Click Submit Step 14: The Next Page will be a FRN Registration Confirmation On this page you will need to Write Down or copy your new FRN # 0000000000 Your new FCC Registration Number (FRN) is 0000000000 It will be 10 digits long you will need this number to log into the second part next you will click the continue Button Step 15: If the page does not make the image below select this link to take you to the correct page. https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licMana... Step 16: You will now use your new FRN #0000000000 The password is the same as the one you just set up with your email address username. Click Submit Step 17: Click Apply for a New License Step 18: Use the drop-down arrow and choose ZA-General Mobile Radio located at the very bottom of the drop-down list. Step 19: Click Continue Step 20: Select No on each option Step 21: Click Continue Step 22: Continue through the pages… The Last Page will be Certification please read all pages before you sign documentation There is a $35.00 License Fee that will need to be paid. If you need help, the help button is located in the top right. Next you will get another Confirmation Page We recommend your print it out and save a copy Step 23: Then Select CONTINUE TO CORES FOR PAYMENT COMPLETION You will have to sign in again with your original username (email address) and password Step 24: Top Right Corner Select Manage Existing FRNS & FRN Financial Step 25: Select FRN Financial Step 26: Select View/Make Payments Step 27: Next Follow the steps to complete Payment You will need to use your FRN #0000000000 to locate your fee We recommend your print and save your receipt of payment Now you need to wait anywhere from 1 day to a couple weeks for them to process the new License.
