LACOCK: THE ULTIMATE FILM LOCATION! FROM HARRY POTTER TO DOWNTON ABBEY!

#harrypotter #downtonabbey #prideandprejudice #cotswolds Thank you for watching my latest video. I’ve come to visit the beautiful village of Lacock which is on the edge of the Cotswolds in Wiltshire. Lacock is famous for its stunning historic architecture, its Abbey, and Cloisters which date back to the 1200s and is undoubtedly the most filmed village in England! The village has featured in many movies and tv series including Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, Cranford, The Other Boleyn Girl, Wolf Man, and the Harry Potter franchise with many scenes filmed in the Abbey’s ancient cloisters. Lacock is also famous for one of the owners of the Abbey, William Fox Talbot who produced the world’s first photographic negative. Lacock also has a wonderful church St.Cyriac’s built in the 15th century and has a long association with the British Royal Family. Queen Camilla, wife of King Charles 111 had a daughter married here and attended with Charles plus Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton later to become Catherine Princess Of Wales. The Queen Mother was also a regular visitor. In my video we will take a tour of Lacock village and the Abbey, Cloisters, and beautiful grounds and along the way we will visit 10 filming locations. Apologies I say 9 in the video but I miscounted!!
