It was by pure luck that I found this awesome spot. Close to Cape Town & just outside Worcester (maybe a 90min drive), it was easy to get there with no issues at all. It’s a private farm that lays along the banks of Breede River with vineyards & game animals. Super stunning and in a gorgeous setting. We were the only people there and had the place to ourselves. With the recent rains the river was flowing higher than usual and the lower sites were mostly flooded. Our site was awesome with lovely grass and trees. The facilities were clean and there was plenty to keep us busy. They even have a little kiosk for essentials (in season) and a play park for kids, not to mention canoes. Being the start of spring, there were plenty flowers in bloom. Our second night we found ourselves in the middle of a massive thunderstorm. It was frightening but impressive, and I have to say I was super impressed with my Blackthorn 1XL tent. She really held up very well. This is definitely a spot worth visiting and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. It’s a perfect getaway for the entire family, close enough to make it a weekend visit.
