In this video, I am going to take you to Bowral NSW for a weekend road trip from Sydney. Bowral is the largest town in the Southern Highlands in New South Whales, and is the perfect day trip or weekend getaway for Sydneysiders. This video was recorded back in June 2022, which was in deep winter season in Sydney. Bowral is located in Sydney south, about 120 kms away, approximately 90 mins drive. It used to be the summer retreat area for the rich and famous from Sydney due to its cool climate. This area is also a wine region, such as Centennial Vineyards, and it’s a huge vineyard and the wine tasting costs $10 per person. We booked to stay at Gibraltar Hotel through booking.com. It’s a boutique hotel and it’s not cheap. However, this maybe the best quality hotel in Bowral area. I would suggest anyone travelling down to Bowral to book their restaurant dining in advance, if you like to have a proper dining experience, as it’s can be booked out during the weekend. That’s what happened to us, and we were lucky to be able to find a table in Eccetara Italian restaurant, which we had a very good experience with that night. We further our road trip experience by visiting some friends who live in Moss Vale, and had a lunch with them before we headed back to Sydney. While we love travelling overseas, we also love exploring Australia and the major capital cities, the coast lines, and rural country area.
