Nehemiah, a royal official reacted at the discouraged and disorganized people by surrounding his position and galvanizing the demoralized people. Nehemiah is the companion book to the Book of Ezra (2nd half). Nehemiah 8:1-3 ESV Hearing the Word of God facilitates a receptive heart to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and outpouring (Revival). Nehemiah 8:5-6 ESV Worshipping in the Holy Spirit denotes reverence and surrender. Nehemiah 8:9-12 ESV The Joy of the Lord is our strength (Protector and Covering) There must never be such a sense of conviction that it overcomes the revelation that God is doing a good and holy work.
