It all began in 2016 when I first visited Iceland. After another trip, I arrived feeling trapped, confined in crowded museums. But as soon as I set foot in Iceland, I experienced an overwhelming sense of freedom in the open, vast spaces. Everywhere I looked, I was surrounded by nature and beauty, filled with a constant sense of wonder. The true "museum" was the great outdoors. I transformed that experience into lyrics and music, creating several songs. From that inspiration, "Heimili" emerged, which means "home" in Icelandic—exactly how I felt in that place. I had originally planned to film the video with a director in 2020, but the pandemic struck, and we had to wait until 2022. I was on the verge of throwing in the towel, but we persevered, and now, in 2024, I'm excited to share it with you.
