Welcome to Day 296 Reading the Bible in Chronological Order Offgrid in the Garden with Jesus and MEL.🤓 Today’s Reading: The ministry of Jesus takes off in Samaria, Galilee and Judea all from the Gospel of John. Hope you enjoy. Today’s reading is near and dear to my heart for a plethora of reasons: Jesus’ first miracle turning water to wine; the servants were the only ones privi to his behind the scenes miracle. The woman at the well; Lover is my third husband, chosen by God Himself, because I asked in the name of Jesus. And finally, it contains my life mantra verse from John the Baptist in John 3:30. May God bring it to pass as I commit to His Word from Genesis to Revelations every year till He brings me home in the powerful name of Jesus. There’s so much power in the name of JESUS. Happy Birthday to everyone born on October 23nd we celebrate you and may your day be blessed in the name of Jesus! 🎆 ❤️ Verse of the Day ❤️ Ephesians 4:18 NKJV 💞 Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. ❤️ Ephesians 4 is about the body of Christ. I still smile and wonder why the Holy Spirit led me to commit the whole chapter to heart. God’s pick is spot on with our reading today. If you want to know who today’s verse is speaking of, the answer is in verse 17. Making the Bible a daily part of your life will ensure you develop character traits unlike the ones mentioned in today’s verse. You will grow to become more like Jesus when you invite Him to hang out with you every day. It’s a beautiful life with Jesus by my side. It hasn’t always been this way. I lived the party girl weekend warrior life before Jesus became Lord over my life. It was an entitlement mentality: I work hard all week, I deserve to go out, dance, drink and have a good time. It was that kind of thinking that alienated me from the life of God even though I went to church on Sunday. I got a DUI on 4th of July in my early 20’s. I was out of town which delayed the entire process to pay the penalty and clear my name. I drove around on a suspended license for nearly 6 months before I received the notification. I ask the facilitor at DUI school what the consequences would’ve been had I been pulled over before I got the notification while my license was suspended. He informed me the cop had a right to take me to jail, because ignorance to the law is no excuse. Laws of the land remind me of God’s Law. I was ignorant about the driving laws and even more ignorant as a Christian going through all the motions I learned at church but never opening up the Good Book to use the brain God gave me (afflicted as it is) to learn of His law’s, decrees and statues. They’re extremely useful to attain the abundant life of love, joy, peace and prosperity that Jesus died to give us and that I’m blessed to live with my Lover of 30 years. God makes all things new. When I actively participate in the making of His Will to align my identity with Jesus, my heart spills over with gratitude, praise and thanksgiving for The Lord God Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
