Gina Spucches was born in Sicily in 1946 and for more than 50 years has lived in Milan, a city she considers her second home. A former elementary school teacher, she has dedicated her life to education and, once retired, to volunteer work. She is currently a member of the Take Home Association, which provides hospitality to young people in hard-to-home cities, and lives with Sofia Carolla, with whom she feels she has so much in common despite the age difference. Together they share experiences and values that go beyond just a generational relationship.
