DIY 12v Water Heater Boilers! - heats/cooks/boils - PTC Powered! ceramic heat! auto/batt/solar pwrd!

video shows How to Make Two 12v Water Heater/Boilers using only a few 12V PTC Ceramic Heating Elements (along with Two Steel "food cans", 2 metal zip-ties and a rubber-band!). Super easy to make. only takes a few minutes. full instructions in the video. i built two units - one smaller - one larger. both work awesome and boil water in minutes. in addition to boiling water for cooking (or for sterilizing/pasteurizing water in an off-grid or emergency situation) they should also be able to heat and cook a variety of other things. i'll be building a jumbo-sized model using a large steel coffee can in the near future *and testing it, along with the other models for *boiling eggs, heating soups, cooking hash, scrambling eggs, warming chili and lots more. any strong 12V DC source should power it. the unit can be run 4 ways... 1.) straight to a 12v solar panel 2.) straight to a 12v 'deep cycle" battery 3.) through a cars 12V power port 4.) or by the use of a 12v AC/DC transformer. couple of things; the zip-ties need to be stainless steel zip-ties. those are rated up to 500C (932F). they can handle the 230C/446F heat that the elements can produce. i used the 11.8" ones. amazon sells them in packs of 100 for about *$10 or 30 for *$6.50 (so not much more than the plastic ones). and the ptc elements can be found on ebay and amazon. i use the 220C (428F) 12v ones. tips on building it; use pliers to tighten-up the zip-ties (*manufacturer recommended). and for holding the dirt in consider using modeling clay, silicone caulk or possibly "plaster of paris". it's been a fun experiment. this video was inspired by a comment on a previous video. if anyone has any other ideas of things they want me to build or 'invent' just drop in the comments area. if you like video please rate, sub and *share here's some links to my other ptc vids...
