Minecraft How to Build a Simple Starter House (Easy Tutorial) Part 2: Second Floor

Inspired by Minecraft: How To Build A Survival Starter House Tutorial (#14) by Rizzial    • Minecraft: How To Build A Survival St...   Welcome back to our easy Minecraft tutorial series! In Part 2, we’re focusing on building the second floor of your simple starter house. We start by adding oak log columns spaced 2 blocks from the corners of the foundation. These columns are 4 blocks tall, giving the second floor a solid and symmetrical framework. The natural texture of the oak logs adds a rustic charm to your build while providing a sturdy support structure for the upper level. Once the columns are in place, we fill the spaces between them with walls made of light gray terracotta. These walls are 5 blocks tall, creating a balanced height for the second floor that complements the foundation below. The light gray terracotta brings a smooth, clean look to the exterior, contrasting nicely with the darker tones of the oak logs and cobblestone. Next, we add a ring of spruce planks around the entire house, connecting the oak log columns and unifying the structure with a cohesive design element. This ring not only strengthens the house but also provides a base for the next layer of detailing. To enhance the aesthetic and give your house a more finished look, we place spruce fences on top of the outer logs. These fences add both a decorative touch and additional support to the upper level. To complete this stage, we add spruce planks on top of the fences, extending them around the entire house. This forms a protective barrier for the second floor while maintaining the rustic style of the build. The combination of spruce planks and fences creates a visually appealing trim that seamlessly integrates with the rest of the structure. With the second floor now taking shape, your starter house is starting to look more like a home! In the next part of this tutorial series, we’ll continue building, adding more details and features to make your Minecraft house both functional and beautiful.
