Rear Drum to Disc Brake Conversion | Parking Brake Cable Installation | 2009-19 Toyota Corolla This video covers how to change the parking brake cables after converting the rear drum brakes to disc brakes. The process is fairly straight forward and could be done with jack stands but a lift makes the job easier. I have a little different setup as I have an Ultra Racing lower 2-point chassis brace. I had to loosen the 17mm bolts a little to rotate it out of the way, this was a simple step though. I also have a 3" exhaust die to my car being turbocharged, if you still have the stock exhaust you will have more room to work with and should be able to just drop the exhaust from the rubber hangers and have enough room to get the heat shields out of the way. The interior center console is very easy and can be removed in just a few minutes by unsnapping some trip pieces and removing 2, 10mm bolts from the inside rear compartment and 2 screws after unsnapping the lower center console section and the gear shift cover.
