About the Gerry Gits Challenge - The Gerry Gits Challenge word for 2024 is “Daydream” For those unfamiliar with this challenge, which is open to anyone, the Gerry Gits Challenge is to create any kind of pyro device from your interpretation of one word presented each year by the panel of judges. The word is never the same from year to year and, as former Chief Judge Gerry Gits requested, is to be a single word with no definitions attached. In former years, we have provided clues as to what type of pyro device or devices could represent the word that year. But that was not according to the former chief’s request. He told me that he was interested in seeing what creative thoughts the word would conjure up in the minds of the members and how that fantasy would play out. Interesting as it may be, the PGI quilting group has accepted the word as a quilting challenge also.
