PLEASE READ BELOW + Activity This video explores the basic understanding of racism for children. Please pause the video when needed and follow along to see your child's understanding as you watch it together. DISCUSSION POINTS: Pause whenever the video poses a question. This is meant for you to check your child's understanding and ideas. Do not pause to give advice or teach. Simply listen to your child's responses. Take notes if you need to. Pause the video when the little girl speaks about the racist comment she faced. Ask, " Why do you think her friend said that?" This will give you context and insight into your child's perception of race. Once the video is over, discuss what your children understood. Let them lead the discussion and you can guide it.
