TWO AUSTAL TRIMARAN FERRIES AT SEA - BAJAMAR EXPRESS & QUEEN BEETLE

A milestone moment when two Austal high-speed trimaran ferries, Bajamar Express (Austal Hull 394) and Queen Beetle (Austal Hull 396) sailed together off the coast of Perth, Western Australia, July 2020. The vision was captured on the day Fred Olsen Express’ Bajamar Express embarked on her journey home to the Canary Islands, coinciding with the scheduled sea trials of Queen Beetle (for JR Kyushu Jet Ferry of Japan). Bajamar Express is an 118 metre high-speed trimaran vehicle-passenger ferry with the capability to transport 1,100 passengers and 276 cars at a cruising speed of 37 knots. Fred. Olsen Express will be operating Bajamar Express between Santa Cruz, Tenerife and Agaete, Gran Canaria, immediately upon arrival in August 2020. Queen Beetle is an 83 metre high speed trimaran passenger ferry with the capability to transport 502 passengers, over two decks, also at a cruising speeds of 37 knots. JR Kyushu Jet Ferry will operate Queen Beetle on the Fukuoka, Japan - Busan, South Korea route (schedule pending).
