Thailand’s education is ranked among the worst in Asia. Yet it also has some of the most breathtaking and extravagant looking schools in the world. By investing more in how good their schools look rather than providing the students a proper education, Thailand demonstrates that it clearly has its priorities in order. Thailand's education system suffers from nationwide corruption. Schools and government officials regularly steal from the Thai education fund, knowing that they are betraying the Thai youth. Countless schools across Thailand hire unqualified white people to teach English. Many of these white educators can hardly even speak English themselves. This even occurs in some of Thailand’s most prestigious schools. Most schools in Thailand practice a “No Fail Policy”, which means that their students are physically unable to fail, regardless of how poorly they perform. Many English courses for adults in Thailand, including some internationally recognised chains, are prepared to provide fake English degrees to students who are willing to pay for them.
