Let us tell you that 'One Nation, One Election' means the idea of conducting simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. Its purpose is to reduce the number of elections and the expenses incurred on them. In other section, Recently the central government has changed the name of Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, to 'Sri Vijayapuram'. This historic decision was announced by the Home Ministry. This naming is inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to get rid of colonial symbols. It is worth noting that the name 'Sri Vijayapuram' reflects the unique contribution of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Indian freedom struggle.
