Devotees felt a deep connection with The Almighty on hearing Rishab Salhotra’s soothing Shiva bhajan

Devotees were transported to a state of enlightenment on listening to this melodious rendering by famous singer Rishabh Salhotra on Ramnavmi, April 17, 2024. Yes, Rishabh Salhotra, attired in teal colored cotton “kurta” & white pyjamas, with silver ear-rings in his ears, was performing “soulful” renderings at the “Hanuman Ki Chawki” organised by Mr. Vikas Bahl and Poonam Bahl of “Bahl Parivaar”. The “Bhajan Chawki” was a hit with the devotees who had thronged the temple to pay their obeisance to Lord Rama on the auspicious occasion of festival of “Ram Navmi”. The famous Jakhoo Temple is the highest point of Shimla and had devotees not only from Shimla but from places like Solan, Karsog, Dharamahala, Raipur in the state of Chhattisgarh, Nanital in Uttrakhand and even countries like Germany, Australia and the United Kingdom attending the chowki. A tourist from the UK was captivated with the bhajans and said that she would give the singer 11/10 on a scale of 10. Rishabh Salhotra of “Rishabh Musical Group” mesmerized devotees with his numerous bhajans of Lord Hanuman, Rama and Shiva (all Gods of the Hindus). His Bhajan “ Shri Ram Janaki Rahetein Hain Mere Seene Mein” about Lord Rama and “Bam Bole Bam Bole Bam Bam Bam, Bam Bole Bam Bole Bam Bam Bam Bam” about Lord Shiva just had the devotees going frenzy & had them clapping with devotion. It appeared as if Lord Shiva was engrossed in doing the fiery “Tandav” (name of dance form done by Lord Shiva) atop the Kinner Kailasha. The orchestra accompanying the singer too was fabulous and enhanced his performance . It was a visual treat to the eyes to witness the ”magic” of “Dholki” and the soothing notes of the keyborad being played by leading musicians from Punjab. Yet another budding singer Manish Nayak too impressed the devotees with his “bhajans”. Mrs. Poonam Bahl, of “Bahl Parivar”, herself a You Tuber, told me that she and her husband Vikas Bahl had been impressed with Rishabhji’s “Madhur Awaaaz” when they had once seen him perform live at a prestigious chain of hotels in the town. Mrs Bahl too enjoyed dancing to the tunes of Rishabh’s soothing “bhajans” during the rendering of “lehar Lehar leharaiye Re, Jhanda Bajrangbali Ka” & other bhajans. The finale had Rishabhji performing the melodious rendering “Shree Ram Janaki, Baithein Hain Mere Seene Mein” on the “farmaish” of his mother who, he informed, was present amongst the devotees and had come to witness her son’s live “Bhajan Chowki “.
