2003 Ford Explorer 4x4 won't come out of Park or go into Gear

Ford Explorer stuck in the parking lot, starts up but unable to get it out of Park, shifter is stuck in park. To troubleshoot this, the 1st thing is to see if the Brake lights work...the brake switch controls a lock solenoid that locks the shifter in park to prevent unauthorized use of the car by little young ones that can grab the shifter and put it in gear..if the rear brake lights to not light up, the brake switch is no good and not completing the electrical circuit to release the lock solenoid ..easy way to check..hardest part was finding something in the truck to jump the connector so I can drive it away...see other video for replacement. ..sorry for the midnight class...Enjoy...S4E112 Visit my store for Cool Merchandise https://teespring.com/stores/cuda-garage
