Newton Stewart and the River Cree

On a crisp Sunday morning Morag and I had a short drive up to Newton Stewart for this wander. The walk starts in the Riverside car park heading north up the west bank of the Cree onto the main street then across the fantastic stone bridge on to the east bank. The east bank runs past idyllic houses and through fields and woods before coming out at the A75. He next 100yds takes us along the A75 and over the Cree before going down steps to its west bank for a gentle wander back to the car. Morag had a really good time as there were plenty of opportunities for her to run loose, I just tagged along behind.
