Some are also looking at PMS or Portfolio Management Scheme, due to its customizable nature, a degree of standardization brought about by the regulator as well. However, Nimish Shah, CIO - listed Investments, Waterfield Advisors says investors should attain more knowledge of the stock markets because the amount at stake is also higher. As per SEBI, PMS investors need to start off with a minimum of Rs. 50 lac. However, he does note the ease in customization of a scheme that some investors may find useful, especially if they are forbidden from investing in say certain sectors.
