We set out with a mission. A mid-size Sword to fill the freezer, and that was exactly what we got. It was meant to be and would not have been releasable even if we tried. Weighing in at 138kg. This fish marks the end of our 2024 season and what a season it has been. We've learnt a lot more than we thought we already knew about these fish and made some incredible memories along the way. We did 11 fish from 11 trips.. catching the smallest and largest broadbill I have ever caught.. getting my first double swordfish in one day.. followed by 6 hook-ups and 4 "landed" fish the next with 3 tags deployed.. and winning the Australian International Billfish Tournament! I wonder what next year will bring...
