Located in the South Wales county of Carmarthenshire is its county town, Carmarthen (or Caerfyrddin in Welsh). Lying on the River Tywi, it is allegedly Wales's oldest town with a Roman fort in the area believed to date from around 75 AD. Carmarthen Castle, seen in part in the video, dates back to Norman times, at which point the area was known as Llanteulyddog. A statue of Sir William Nott stands in the square just outside the castle.
